Techniques for identifying the breaking points of our systems.
Preparing for peak traffic and managing unexpected spikes.
Our approach is focused on a comprehensive suite of testing methodologies, including spike, soak, stress, and load tests, to accurately identify and reinforce the system's limits.
Spike testing is used to evaluate the system's response to sudden, large increases in traffic, mimicking real-world scenarios where traffic can surge unexpectedly.
Soak testing examines the system's endurance and stability over extended periods, ensuring it can handle prolonged high usage without degradation in performance.
Stress testing pushes the system beyond its expected operational capacity to identify its absolute breaking points, providing valuable insights into how and where failures occur under extreme conditions.
Load testing, on the other hand, assesses the system's performance under anticipated traffic conditions, ensuring it can meet the demands of typical user activity. Together, these testing strategies are crucial for preparing our infrastructure to manage peak traffic scenarios efficiently, maintaining both reliability and continuous service availability.
