Is it possible to quantify collaboration? How does a single issue, pull request, or code commit contribute to establishing an effective developer network? In this talk, we will analyze millions of artifacts from multi-year open source projects, explore collaborative patterns, and connect them with recent research in organizational behavior and professional networks. The session will provide a framework and propose an evidence-based perspective on measuring and improving collaboration.
