Talos Linux: You don't need an operating system, you need Kubernetes by Andrei Kvapil (kvaps) from Ænix

Andrei's team, leveraging their collective tech expertise, has developed a solution aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency for various users, specifically targeting bare-metal server challenges.

These challenges encompass inconsistent deployment practices, outdated components without security updates, and complex dependencies that hinder kernel and OS management. Traditionally, organizations tackle these issues in silos, creating a technology mosaic that requires extensive DevOps support.

In response, Andrei's team has focused on integrating technologies like Talos OS and Flux CD to streamline and standardize cluster management. This approach facilitates the creation of consistent, manageable environments.

Their discussion will include:

  • Building reproducible bare-metal environments with Talos Linux and FluxCD.
  • Addressing initial setup challenges.
  • Improving user experience and local development.
  • Guiding users on utilizing a next-gen Container OS and diagnosing issues without ssh.

Let’s dive into insights from the previous year to see the level of our speakers and find some helpful stuff for your work. The article was written following Ilya Mikhaelis's talk.

All you want to know about WebRTC on the backend side

Over the past several years, part of the live streaming content dramatically increased. But the main problem of the live content is latency. Waiting for the answer to a simple question for about 5–10 seconds gets annoying and kills all communication dynamics, doesn’t it? These are typical latency values for standard streaming live protocols like HLS or DASH. However, here is one of the game changers in live streaming — WebRTC. This technology makes streaming with a millisecond’s long latency possible from all common browsers.

Today, we will explore how it works together with Ilya Mikhaelis.
